Hello, I have a 93 Lx convertible with 2.3 engine with automatic transmission. 7.5 rearend ax code 6. I have a roaring noise when turning right. I replaced axle bearings along with seals but this did not help. Thinking about swaping to 8.8. What is my stock gearing and if I swap would a 308 be ok? Will the yoke on the 8.8 be the same size as 7.5 so the drive shaft will bolt up? Thanks John

373 ratio is stock ratio on your car. The 8.8 is direct fit. There is some minor brake line problems but is nothing. Near as can remember use the hose and lines from the 7.5. I did it but ratio was not right for my car and rearend was noise. So found a turbocoupe 7.5. The driveshaft are direct bolt in. 308 may be too much for a 2.3 and load engine up too much and make it even slower. But someone here may know more. Maurice

I was told by another person that my stock gear was 273, glad I asked. I looked at tag and it says 373. Any model with 373 in 8.8 that has 4 lugs? Thanks for your help. John
