I am thinking about rebuilding my rear end. There is play in the wheels and a lot of play from the drive shaft to the tires. I am curious how hard it is to rebuilt the rear end and what it might entail if i could do it at my house. I need the car running for Thursday. Any advice would be key rite now as I am in the process of picking out parts to buy. If it will be too much work i will consider buying a used rear end so if anyone knows what years will match up to my 86 that would be great too.
If you've never did a rear end before, it's not something to tackle on your own. It's not simple and there's certain things that require experience to properly complete the job. If you've never done it before, leave it to someone who has.
