Hi,
I am after some advice regarding improving my rear suspension set up. I currently have "Lakewood" Lift Bars Part#21314 with KYB adjust Gas shocks, Air Bag and aftermarket springs. welded subframe connectors, UPR welded battle boxes, 31 spline moser axles, Auburn ECT'ed center with 3.73 gears. All up I envisage the car to put out about 425rwhp. Already went to 398rwhp before the addition of an Anderson Power Pipe and a Snow "Stage 2" Water Methanol Injection. I think one area that I can improve on is the upper and lower control arms. Any advice appreciated. The car will not be driven a lot and it won't see any real time at a drag strip besides a few passes when it is properly tuned. Just a toy for a bit of fun on the street.
If you require any further info please let me know.

the lift bars are hard on the tq boxes..for what you're using the car for,i'd just replace the control arms with another brand(non lift bar style) with some poly bushings on each end,..check Maximum Motorsports,UPR,J&M

^^I agree with these guys about the control arms.

I'd recommend our Elite Series arms:
79-98 Mustang Elite Chrome Moly Urethane Control Arm Suspension Kit

The are made of tubular chrome-moly which makes them the strongest control arms on the market, and they use Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings for a good combination of traction and durability. They have a lifetime guarantee and they are only $179 for the set with the AFM forum discount!

Thanks Guys,
The battle boxes have already been welded in. I purchase most if not all of my parts through Late Model Restoration as they have all of my details for shipping to Perth, Western Australia. I hope they carry the UPR items that Sharad recommends.

i wouldnt want solid bushings(pro series) on a daily driver/street car..the poly bushings make for a stiff enuff ride as it is..solid bushings have no "give" whatsoever, and the harsh ride is going to get annoying really quick...just my $.02

I don't think LMR carries UPR Products, but if you'd like to, you can call us at 561.588.6630 to see if we can ship directly to you. Lethal Performance carries UPR Products and I'm told they ship internationally.

Sharad,
Just a quick question would the Pro Series be a better option with what I am running?
Well, since you said 400+ hp and not a daily driver, I'd go with the Pro Series suspension. Some people don't like the Pro Series suspension on the street because of the vibration you feel from the solid bushings... However, you CAN daily drive it if you want. (I have done so for years, and the extra traction on the street is NICE!!!)

That said, you can use our Pro Street arms with spherical bearings on the front of the control arms and polyurethane bushings on the rear... but you're close to the hp limit of poly bushings. If you step up your hp, I'd want you to switch to the solid bushings for sure.

We do indeed! In stock & ready to ship. We have the complete pro-series kit as well as the individual components.

Are any of those adj arms? I would think with that hp and everything reinforced, adj upper at least would be in order.
The UPR Pro-Series Arms are indeed adjustable, both the uppers & the lowers.

I'll find that out soon here. Have control arms with solid chassis bushings and poly axle bushings waiting to be installed along with a set of coilovers.

Thanks for all of the advice,
I just got stitched up by a shipping company and Australian Customs to the tune of an extra $389 for my parts because they were over $1,000 Aussie (by $39). This realy sucks so I will now need to order items that total less than $1,000 or I will get the banana again.
