:help: Which is the best way to go after pulling out the 5.0 on a 90-93 LX weekend driver? (I plan to reinstall the next motor with a mild Kenne Bell blower.) Rebuilding the stock motor, rebuild stock motor with better and/or stroked internals, or install a crate motor. If the crate is the way to go, how do you decide which one? FRPP and others have a lot of crates that can replace the original 5.0 for daily driving with a blower....how do you pick the right one?:?:

I would select a crate, DSS has decently priced short and longblocks with forged internals, the way to go with supercharging, dont spend your $ on a block without at least forged pistons. The crank and rods could be stock, but the forged pistons are a very desirable feature.

It seems to be cheaper to buy long/short blocks anymore, than to do it your self. Thats what I did saved a few hundred bucks.
