I removed mine. I just used an o-ring extractor tool (looks like a dentist pick) to get behind the ring and pull it out. You could get the proper snap ring tool to make it a little easier.
remove mass air screen?
is there a benefit in removing the screen found in the stock mass air unit?

i heard that you weren't supposed to do that. so if you remove it does it give you anymore power?
no it doesnt help any, it is just there to help stop whatever large things make it past the air filter. I assume.

I read somewhere it's there to straighten out the airflow so the maf reads more accurately. I think it was in MM&FF.
