When I did it on my hatchback, I had to drill out the rivet on the underside that holds the little plate on. Then the whole plate popped off the and the lock cylinder just slid out. It's clipped in by that plate if that makes any sense. Just drill out the rivet, stick a screwdriver under the plate, and pry upwards.
