Progress being made with my mustang. Went with the Steeroids R&P, but have had to make some other modifications to make that happen. This included a clutch cable, which meant I had to go to a diaphragm clutch/pressure plate, which meant I had to change my T5 bellhousing. All part of the "training of parts", which I have coined.
Anyway, to get all of this done, and to have enough room, I pulled the two front seats out of the car. I'm a big dude and needed the extra space to work under the dash. While I've got them out of the car, I was thinking about how I should fix/replace the front seats. The driver's side seat frame is bent and it leans to one side while in the car, plus they both need to be recovered. Now, while replacing the old seats/upholstery would be nice, I also intend to run my car on the track in the future, so I have to start thinking about safety. As we all know, our lap belts and seats simply held in by 4 tiny bolts isn't very safe. I would love to hear some suggestions out there about upgrading my front seats to aftermarket buckets, including what else is out there for seat belt safety. I look forward to hearing anyone's suggestions.
