whats involved in changing over to roller rockers?

i have an 88 with an AOD, so i assume i have a flat tappet motor.

You already have roller lifters ie; a roller cam motor . to change over to roller rocker arms , you just unbolt the stock ones and bolt on the new ones . pretty simple .

awesome thanks.

so i wouldnt have to change anything else in the valve train?

also, would there be any considerable power gains from changing to roller rockers? or any type of advantages? this is for a mainly street car, i hit the track maybe twice a year, but its my daily driver in the summer.

You will have an improvement if you go with 1.7 roller rockers if you have the stock stamped 1.6 ones on there right now . If your car isnt a mass air car then I would probably put the money towards a mass air conversion myself . there are some guys on here with some pretty nice speed density cars though
