Oh yeah it backfires a lot. I had N1 style exhausts on a couple of my cars and they were worse so I guess it doesn't bother me. Don't get me wrong, this is a loud and aggressive exhaust and if you want quiet and subdued go another route.

Sounds angry. Get your kids inside and lock the doors angry. I like the idle and lower revs sound the best.

That sounds very nice. It sound's like what I was hoping my muffler deletes would sound like. very loud and aggressive but with no rasp if i layed into it. unfortunately the straight pipes sound like there was a coke can inside my engine when i hit the gas any more than a 1/3 of the way.
