I have a 2007 mustang gt and im getting o/r x pipes with flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I want to eventually put on roush stage 1 body kit. To make the exhaust fit the rear can i keep the flowmasters and change just the tips or do i need to get the roush mufflers and tips? Also does anyone know where i can buy the body kit piece by piece since my car already has a hood scoop i dont need the whole kit. And how do you install the roush 1 kit is it just snap ons to the pre existing parts or do i need to take it to a body shop to get it done? Thanks

they look to be held on by 3M automotive tape. a white stage 1 came in at work. i was looking at it, looks like there just stuck right onto the gt's body.some of the parts anyway like the bottem of the read bumper.
You can get the separate parts straight from roush. ROUSH Performance: Complete ROUSH® Ford Mustang Body Kit

You can get them painted there too and have them sent ready to be put on.
Ok perfect the 3m tape will be perfect any one know about the exhaust situation though?

The roush tips exit farther in-board than the GT tips so you will have to make changes to the exhaust.
Much easier to just get the Roush exhaust.

agreed, its roush's way of selling more of their products :shigrin
I suggest o/r h-pipe fo Flows

What's up FloridaGators87, I have Flowmaster 40's with an o/r x-pipe an' they sound ricey-waiting for non-cambered Magnaflows to arrive. From what I can tell, judging from my ride-which only has an aftermarket CAI (no tune) and variuos youtube clips- you want to go with nonchamered for an o/r x-pipe. For example this is what I'm shooting for...

YouTube - 07 GT BBk LT headers+O/R x-pipe+borla stinger

I haven't found a clip of Flows with an o/r x that sounds as ferocious as that!I have found that flows give a deep booming sound at low rpms (pulling away from a stoplight or turning a slow corner)but they trumpet like a ricer at two different points in the rpm range (going up ad down). If you search youtube for the setup you described, which i also have, you might find an example of what I'm talking about. On the other hand if that's what you're looking for then you hit the jackpot! I hope you find the sound you want in either case.

i want to do the same thing as florida, just i have a blue racing stripe and i was curious if i can get the stripe over the rear bumper or not? i also want to get the flowmasters, but again the bumper, i might just get a different back bumper so it will fit all my needs.

Ideal: stage 1 wit flowmasters
reality: i dont know!
