RPM needle too high!!!!

Put in new guages...now RPM needle too high!! what do i need to do to fix this??????????

stock gauges or aftermarket? 4 cyl. 6000 rpm stock to 5.0 7000 rpm stock?
i have a 3.8 02 mustang..... i have the glo guage overlays so when i got in there to put them in ...i must have messed the rpm guage up....

Yea, you'll have to put the needle on again in the right spot. Are your other gauges fine? When I put the white face overlay on mine all of my gauges were off. I had to adjust them with the gauges plugged in until they were right.

Hold down the trip odometer button while you put the key in and then turn the key to "On" while holding the button. Let go of the button when you see the gauges sweep and the odometer should show info in it. Then you can press the button until it gets to the digital tach and then match the needle with the rpms.

Definitely agree with this. Patience is the key, take your time and make sure everything works smoothly. That was my biggest problem :nono:
