It's tough to find, have to go to the top menu, select Gas Cars, Ford xx-05, then Mustang V6. The blower is all the way down on the left.

I'm very impressed, they say they can get 400 HP out of the motor, and a 2 second ET gain...that's a lot faster than a GT! Not bad for $4,000! I probably wouldn't do it just because I'd be afraid to blow the motor!

If I were to do that, i'd keep everything else completely stock....maybe even keep the axel-back exhaust, and put turn downs just before the axel...looking completely stock. I love sleepers!!!

They also say 65% gain... 210 + 65% (136) = 346... not 400... hmmm...

I'll definitely be talking to my tuner about this kit and see what he thinks... I'ld feel pretty comfortable running this motor up to about 300HP... I'ld be more than satisfied with that... LOL!

yeah, i'm keeping my V6 as stock looking as possible... I was a Woodward this last week... I think a lot of V8 cars seen I didn't have the GT Fog Lights and figured "It's only a V6..." and were surprised when I pulled ahead on them... LOL!
pretty sweet looking system.i wonder if they'll have anything new this year at SEMA. im still waiting to see if anyone is gonna come out with a roots blower system for it. IMO i think they look better than the snails do and i love the whine they make.the snail system with all the upgrades, minus the polished upgrade, comes out to about 4425.85-ish.theres a guy on ebay selling this kit for 3600.

Explorer Express is supposedly coming out with a Eaton version... I think that would definitely be worth waiting for... I've ruled out the ProCharger for now... so we'll see what shows up in the next 3 or 4 months...

I believe that is at the wheel... and actually I don't think I would want much more than that for this motor... I got an e-mail from them last night... while they will not say what kind of numbers they are getting, they did say that the Mustang version should be a little better than the Ranger version. You figure this will take the V6 up in the 290HP range... that would be pleny for me! LOL!

oh... and don't forget with this type of blower your boost will be there at 1800 RPM... not 4000...

I'd reckon the 400 hp includes a dyno run & dual exhaust.

I'm thinking 65% is pretty optimistic though...

ATI regularly does better than 65%, it's pretty conservative.

ATI provides an intercooler with every application which allows more boost without detonation. Most regular systems offer no more than 50%.

Their H.O. system on the 3.8L regularly gives a 75+% bump in power, especially with dual exhaust.

My understanding is they had some QC problem back in the mid to late 90s... how has there QC been lately? And their support?

Going to be interesting in the next 3 to 6 months... Vortech should have a kit out... Explorer Express with an Eaton unit... and some dual turbo kits will be showing up too... what's a boy to do! LOL!

they have a 3 year warranty, so I reckon they'd be out of business if they weren't dependable.

Perhaps... but then how does Gateway stay in business.. LOL! (couldn't resist)

Actually there were some comments in the Supercharger Poll... Lots of people do like their ProCharger... One person did say their customer service sucked... which is something I had heard...

So... time for some more googling...

Keep in mind, this is a significant increase on a motor that was only desigined to produce 210 HP. I'd feel better with a 285 HP V6 than a 400 HP V6, as it would potentially last quite awhile, while still being faster than most other cars out there. I want it!:thumbsup
Yeah, I showed the printout of the ad to a guy at work who restores Stangers (working on a '65 right now) and his comments were:

1) You'll have to change the oil more frequently if you get this, because it's seriously going to increase engine block heat, thus breaking the oil down faster
2) You might want to consider getting an oil cooler kit to go along with it

All of this is new to me...but I am definitely going to pursue this upgrade, probably next year. Thanks for the heads-up and info, guys...another sweet piece of news via AFM that I wouldn't have been able to find on my own!
I would think that with near 300 HP that the tranny and differential will also have to be built for that much added torque.

That's the nice thing about the automatic... it's got the same tranny as the GT... and those guys are putting a lot more torque through it than I plan on! LOL!

I don't know. Like John just said, the auto tranny is the same unit as in the GT. I bet unless you were pushing a lot more than 300 HP, the diff would never give you problems. That's the same diff they put in the Rangers, and those things are built to tow stuff!

FWIW... at the car show today was talking with guy... says he's been putting something like 500HP through a 7.5 rear... I didn't ask him specifics... (dang..)

I think i'll be happy with somthing between 280 and 300... just a nice little bump... LOL

The 7.5" rear is underrated from the 80's versions. You may want to put on a cap from T/A Performance. but it's good for 300-350 hp no problems.

500+ you're gonna have to baby it .. .
