Hello, I have a 1969 grande mustang I would like to put my 2006 pony package mustang wheels (17x8) with 235/55/17 Yokohamas on it. Prior to buying new wheels (18x9, 275\40) for my 06, I test fitted the 17's on the rear of the 69 with decent fitment (obviously could use spacers). I couldn't try the fronts until today due to the brakes not being togther. However the fronts will not seat correctly on the hub 😭 The hub is tapered and the wheel seems to only fit on the first half of the hub.

Is it possible that I could use a spacer without overstreasing the studs? Or if not could an adapter work, or any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Aidan

I never like to use spacers or adapters because if you don't get good quality they could break.

Check Mustangs unlimited there is a spacer kit available to use these wheels on a 67-73 cars, about 275 fir the set. The backspacing on the new wheels wont let then just be mounted as is and work.
