Hello Stangers,
I did do a search and found some info, but is anyone having issues with their right A/C vent (rattling)?

Is there a fix. I've taken to dealer one time already, and I guessing they drove it around the lot and said "could not duplicate." There doesn't seem to be a problem. I'm pretty sure I DID this as I drive around by myself a lot and I closed the right vent completely.......maybe that loosened something up. Doesn't seem to be a pattern....like only when cold, heats up goes away.

Just starts doing the rattling sporadically..........so far the shaker 500 takes care of it! I've got about 1.5 years of warranty, so guess I'll try again. I'm dreading the dealer taking the dash apart--god knows what trouble that will bring later on.........

I've been chasing a cold start rattle for months. I grabbed the rear view mirror to adjust it … wait … no more rattle! It sounded like it was coming from the dash somewhere.:scratchchin

My car has so many rattles from driving on the crappy california highway system I've given up on trying to find them. It has one rattle so loud i can hear it over the radio and muffler deletes.

Old thread I know, but update. Went to dealer for Round 2, still rattling noise.

I see stlwagon's response-I'll check the A-pillar. It is loud enough now (coming from around the righ A/C vent) that it is quite noticeable with the radio off. With it on - can't hear it that much.

DARNIT---it's one of those rattles, that had I never heard/acknowledged ----it wouldn't bother me. Sort of like one of those songs you hear --and can't get out of your head!

I'm going to try round 3 at the dealer ---this time take the service tech for a ride with me...... I've got about 1.5 years left of warranty. Other than this I ABSOLUTELY love my Mustang CS/GT!! (My thinking is the dealer AND ME --- is hesitant to take the dash apart --too much labor and probably start/screw up the electronics......)

Thank you. I'm going to try this solution....... it is really annoying. I do remember seeing/reading this quite awhile ago--- I guess I thought the dealer would eventually get it right and fix it........ looks like it's up to me........thx
No problem, I have the same rattle you do but haven't tried to fix it yet....please post back here with your results and best of luck!

My rattle (sounds like a tapping) is coming from somewhere in the back window (upper left corner driver's side)...comes and goes. I have to remember this is a Ford and not a Lexus.
Yours is probably in that A-Pillar. Good luck.

I feel your pain! My car is constantly rattling from one place or another (dash, A-pillar, speaker, etc.). I'm forever smacking the left side of the dash. When I get fed up, I just turn up the stereo! (which usually just causes a speaker or some other part of the door to rattle) I swear there is NO winning!!
Good luck!
