On thur I got my 5.0 tinted! Anyways is it safe to wash the car? Why I ask is because when I open the door, if a tiny bit of water gets on the tint will it cause the tint to bubble or peel off?

I've never had water get on the inside of my car after washing. But a little drop will not ruin your tint. If you do see a drop or two just get a towel and dab them up. You will be fine.

When I got mine tinted, they told me to wait 48 hours before cleaning the inside of the windows, then to make sure I did NOT use anything with ammonia in it on the tint. Other than that, wash away.

Most important is to not put window up or down for the first couple of days... that's what they told me,so I just waited it out. My tint is perfect now, especially around the edges.

I'd agree it's fine to wash.

You guys are very lucky that you can tint. Since I'm overseas in Germany it's not allowed. It's illegal to tint the drivers or passenger windows beyond stock/manufacturer. I can tint the back window and the 1/4's, but that's it. I have to wait till I get back to the great state of North America...*figured I throw that in for our Canadian brothers and sisters.*:kooky: It's a shame too because this Ingot Silver is just begging or a nice dark tint.

If they did a good job, you could have washed it on day 1. With the way our windows roll down slightly, the installer should have spent some extra time drying the base and top of the window... otherwise, the tint would have rolled the first time you opened the door.

Always better to wait 48 hrs. Don't roll down your windows or do anything else to them during that time, then use them as normal.

I'm suprised that most the Mustangs I see around here don't have tint. These cars look sharp with that exterior mod. Anyway, yea don't sweat a couple drops. Hell, with this heat a couple drops don't stand a chance. By the time you read this, it'll be safe to use your windows.

Excellent question, I was going to ask the same thing since I just got mine done today. That poor Performance White gets pretty dirty after just a couple of days. Thanks for the tips, everyone.
