After dinking around with the auto '12 since March, finally had enough. I had been scoping out a replacement, and found one at the same dealer I bought the '12...

2013 Perf Pack.....6 spd manual....and the option that matters most, the Recaro seats. Of course, the color didn't hurt my feelings much either...lol. I'll get better pics once the nasty weather moves on. It's soooo much fun rowing the gears again....dunno why I ever went with the auto. Guess I'm a gear jammer at heart, and always will be.

Been a long time since you've been out of the manual saddle so to speak? If so I'd hate to hear you grinding gears or missing shifts in that beautiful car :nogrinner

Congrats on the purchase, the '12 had a much better fascia/grille IMO

Nahh, only been since March, when I sold my '90 GT and picked up the '12. The '12 was the first auto car in 4 years, so I kept finding my left foot reaching for the clutch..lol.

I did like the front of the '12, but the '13 reminds me of a GT500/BOSS at a glance. Hopefully it will be easier to swap the grill on it than the '12. I'm torn on either the Roush or MCA grill, especially after drooling over a DIB Roush RS3 on Saturday.

Awesome man. So how much more fun is the manual than the slush-box-auto you had? :shigrin
:gringreen I should have stuck with it all along and not messed with the auto. Even after a tune, the adaptive shift programming would still raise it's ugly head when least expected and drive me nuts. My last auto was my '04 Mach 1, so dealing with something that would "learn" it's way around the tune parameters turned me off from the auto trans. I lived with it as long as I could, but it was time for a change. What pushed me over the edge was seeing manual trans, Perf Pack, and Recaros in one car...add in the DIB color and I was done for :heha:.

It looks good OP but to replace a 2012 v6 with a 2013 v6, regardless of transmission is pretty silly to me. For that money you could have swung a GT. Just my 0.02$

I was going to step up to a GT, but couldn't order what I wanted because Ford stopped taking orders for 2013MY on Nov 2nd and isn't telling the dealers squat about when they can order 2014MY.

I thought about the Sterling Gray base GT w/Brembos they had on the lot, but it was $7K more than the V6 PP. I came out pretty well...payment didn't change but a few $$ and I got a car I'll be happier with. If they hadn't gotten the numbers where I wanted them, would have walked away w/o looking back. I also didn't think there would be as big of a difference between the base 12 and PP 13, but I was badly mistaken..lol. Plus, those dang Recaros are soooo much more comfy than the base seats. I'm getting too old for uncomfortable seats...too many years of wear n tear on the ol carcass :heha:

A comparable GT would have been aprox $8500 more. Don't quite understand your reasoning PB. Handling is where it's at. Any one can stomp on the gas at a stand still, and go in a straight line for a 1/4 mile.

I like the front end of my car. To me the 12s and earlier are starting to look old. To each his own.

I'm already looking forward to next spring so I can get my sticky 19s back on.

Some of our locals like to roll to Sebring for track days, and that popped into my head as soon as I saw PP + 6MT. All I need is a few power mods, Brembo upgrade, and I can go have a ton of fun on the road course as well as the drag strip. I've got the Brembo wheels sitting here at the house, so that part is covered. Car has the Recaro seats, so no need for an upgrade there. This car is going to be a blast to play with....much more than the '12 would have been. :bounce2:

Mr Evil, congrats. I also like the Perf Pack it's a fun bargin. I would have considered Recarros but they were not available in mine. Pay attention to the how to shift threads, the tight gates do have a learning curve. Dang the V8 is a bunch more, yes it's nicer but not that much nicer, although I would prefer the rumble of the V8 instead of the "you should have gotten a V8"...

good luck dude. :bigthumbsup

I have a Hemi and a V6. To me, there isn't a nickle's worth of difference between the sound. I'll take that back. I like the sound of my 3.7 with the AirRaid better.

The wheels the OP has are the 13 Perf Pac wheels. I like mine a lot. Those tires are something elce:kooky:
