Will this works as a direct replacement on a 05 gt or will i need to recalibrate it some how?

It's just the gauge face. Should be no need to recal.

what about a GT only goes to 140 and this goes to 180, so it is more compressed, Im assuming the dial would be off at normal speeds.?

I hate stock gauges, I know they are Retro looking, I just dont like them.

Probably would be off. I never noticed that those went to 180.

The speed is limited to around 145-150 ish. A tune can change it. I am not sure if it is user changeable. :scratchchin
