Hey everybody, i am thinking about getting this tuner.. is it really as good as everybody says? does anybody have hp/tq numbers from before and after? i only have a cai and exhaust, so does anybody know about how much hp/tq i would gain? and also any overall opinions on usability and just an overall review of this would be great. thanks! :)

Depending on the tune and the octane rated in the tune you can get anywhere from 5-20rwhp.
A canned tune via email will never be as good as a dyno tune but, you can expect to gain 10-15rwhp with a 93 octane tune.

I have a SCT tuner and it was the second best thing I've bought for my car. Number one being gears. It really does wake your car up. The throttle response is much better and you really can feel the increase in power.

I just got mine today and all I can say is money well spent! Its amazing!
alright great! i'm definitely gonna look into buying one! but how much of a back-in-your-seat feeli g do you think you would get with this without the 93 octane tune? because i can't afford racing gas lol :p

93 octane is only $0.30 more or so a gallon. With a 15 gallon tank that is $4.50 more a tank. Hardly race gas. Real race gas is 97+ octane and runs $4.00+ a gallon.

I am only using the 87 tune currently, it gave the car a great boost and greater feel, the throttle response is spot on. I tried the stock tune again and it makes the car feel like it has down syndrome(not to offend anyone), I cant even see how I drove it like it before, I tried the 91 tune(all I can get in my area) and it was just amazing(even hurt my neck as I wasn't expecting so much of a boost). It was most definetly worth the money spent, especially with free tunes for life. The code reader function is also great! I like how it shows you the code number, but also gives the description of the code.

Money well spent, best mod I got for my 99 v6 so far. 3.73 gears and t-lock are next though :kooky:
