Sup guys, i got the sct xcal2 sf and installed it on my 01 gt by selecting the car and octane (93). right now i cant advance the timing but some guys at sct might fix that. my question is how much should i advance it? they said the 93 octance tune already on it is advanced +4 degrees. should i advance it more. i find out tomarrow how much end user adjustability i will have. whats your guys opionions to how much timing advance should i do to the 93 octane tune built in it.

I wouldn't go anymore than 25 degrees total timing.

NO! I have no idea what units the SCT is moving your timing in. You need to talk to someone, preferably a professional with a good deal of experience, about how to reference the units on the tuner to degrees of total timing.
