SCT Xcal2

I am fixen to buy the SCT Xcal2 and a cai together and im not quite getting the SCT so if you buy the Xcal2 do u have to buy diff tunes to even change the diff setings on it or is it like a programmer for a truck just plug it in and do what you want if you could help understang this better and tunes and flashes i would appreciate it thanks

I got hooked up with a SCT tuner from a friend that sold his mustang. I was able to get the local SCT place to unlock it and delete the software on it so it can be used again. I was hoping to see if anyone has any of the stock tunes for the 2007 GT. The car has no mods and the SCT place here wants me to have them put it on the dyno and tune it on the dyno and after I pay for that I can pay for the tunes on top of that. It would end up being more expensive for them to do that than it would be to just buy a new tuner pre loaded. Can anyone help me out?
