My cars in the paint shop currently because somebody decided it would be a good idea to key it not only once, but twice during school. My dad won't let me drive it to school unless there is some system that can record video when the car is off thus "protecting" the car in a way where if something does happen again we will know who did it.

Generally these systems have DVRs with large hard drives to be able to record the length of video required as a school day is about 8 hours long. Loop recording would also be a good feature so I don't have to wipe the drive everyday after recording.

If anybody has any recommendations of products that would be good for solving this issue let me know.

How about a dash camera? Most of them have loop recording and can store video on whatever size microSD card you put in there. I have a dual channel one in my car that records both front and rear. Because it's not wired to the ignition, it stays on until I turn it off manually.

4.3" Mobile DVR for any Backup Camera System. This is probably more robust than something I need, but I'm thinking that a 4 camera system would be better as due to the position of where my car is parked, I wouldn't doubt that at least 100 people pass by it every day, so being able to see them come and go as well as on the side might be necessary if I want to pinpoint somebody, side camera locations is a question though.

Can you perhaps park it where it is more visible in plain sight of everyone or perhaps at least visible to your schools security cam if they have them.

We have assigned parking spots and if I wanted to change I'd have to park at the back of the parking lot, unnecessarily long walk, which doesn't really put it in a spot where people can see it better. The school doesn't have any security cameras in the parking lot.
