After I complete my suspension upgrade (1"-1.25" drop), I plan to replace my Brembo wheels to allow for a wider rear tire. I’m looking at the following rim and tire sizes and was hoping to get everyone’s input on what offsets I need. I’d also love any suggestions regarding tire size, brand/type, best places to buy, etc. My main goal behind the tire size selection is to use a wide tire in the back while keeping my circumference the same so I don’t have to modify the speedo. I also want to have the wheels/tires flush with the car – not sticking out or sucked in. Thanks in advance!!

Wheels:
TSW Nurburgring - Gunmetal

Front:
Size: 20" x 9"
Tire: 255/35/20
Offset: ??

Rear:
Size: 20" x 10.5"
Tire: 315/30/20
Offset: ??

Thanks for the site. It looks like a great resource when learning about offsets, etc. However, unless knowing fender width dimensions, etc., it's not clear what offset I should go with to reach my goals and have no rubbing issues. Additionally, the "find what fits" feature only shows up to 9" wide wheels for the 2011 Mustang GT - another problem that I've seen on several of these sites. I've heard of people running up to 20x11" wheels with 315/30/20 tires, so I know it can be done - especially considering that I'm looking at 20x10.5" wheels.

Don't forget about an adj. Panhard bar to recenter the rear end.
Even a stock height car can use one since the rear has a driver side bias just like my old 4th Gen F-body.
As far as Offset goes I believe 40-45mm may be what your looking for.

No worries on that end. I plan to get the following suspension components, so I shouldn't run into any alignment issues:

- Steeda Sport Springs
- Koni STR.T Shocks/Struts
- GT500 Strut Mounts (to use for the Koni's)
- Steeda Camber/Caster Plates
- BMR Adj. Panhard Bar

As for the wheels:
I've been looking at several sites (e.g. TSW Nurburgring RF - Matte Gunmetal Wheels - Wheel Size & Price Details - 1010tires.com ) and can only find a 20x10.5" rim with a 25mm offset that has the correct bolt pattern. Is this not ideal? The widest rim I can find with a 40mm offset and correct bolt pattern is the 20x10" rim. In this case, I may need to downscale the tire to a 295/30(35)/20.

As for the front, it looks like my options of a 20x9" rim may be squashed, as they only have the following (incorrect bolt pattern):

20" x 9" 5/120 20
20" x 9" 5/112 35
20" x 9" 5/120 35

In this case, I may have to go with a 20x8.5", but I'm concerned that I will run into clearance issues since I have the Brembo brake package:

20" x 8.5" 5/114.3 20
20" x 8.5" 5/114.3 40

As an alternative, I could go with a 19x9(9.5)" rim in the front and stick with a 20" in the back:

19" x 9" 5/114.3 32
19" x 9.5" 5/114.3 41

So after much more looking around, I feel like the following wheel choices would work well. Does anyone think I'll run into any fitment issues with my Brembo brakes? Anyone have concerns regarding the offsets or tire sizes?

Wheels:
TSW Nurburgring - Gunmetal

Front:
19" x 9"
5/114.3
32mm offset
255/40/19

Rear:
20" x 10"
5/114.3
40mm offset
295/30/20

These are very close to my wheels - 20 X 9 Front - 30mm offset - 255/40/20 tires, 20 X 10 rear - 50 mm offset - 295/35/20 tires

Here is my post which has some pics. Wheels are close to edge of fenders, no rubbing issues but my car is not lowered.

Thanks for the info...your car looks fantastic. Due to available options, I'm pretty set on the following:

Front:
19x9 TSW Nurburgring - 5/114.3 - 32mm - Gunmetal
Michelin Pilot Super Sports - 255/35zr19

Rear:
20x10 TSW Nurburgring - 5/114.3 - 40mm - Gunmetal
Michelin Pilot Super Sports - 285/30zr20

The only question that remains unanswered is if the 19x9 TSW Nurburgring wheel will fit over the Brembo calipers. My gut says yes, but I'd love someone to chime in. Lastly, will a 20x8.5 wheel fit over the Brembos (not sure if it's a width or height problem)?

Hey guys
I know this is a little off topic, but since this is a thread about tires and wheels, maybe someone can help me too.

I have the optional 19 inch wheels(5 spoke ones) was wondering if anyone makes a wider copy of that rim, so I can put a wider rear tire on my car.

While I love the look from the side, from the rear the tires are just to skinny

Not that I've seen - and I've searched a ton...

Question on Nurburgring Wheels

How did the Nurburgring 19x9 32 offset wheels with 255/40 tires work out for you? I'm looking to do those in the front of my "11 GT Convertible with Brembo brakes and I am concerned that the 32 offset is going to suck the wheels into the wheel well too much. I'm also planning on doing 19x9.5 42 offset in the rear and run 285/35 tires. Thanks
