Hi

It is really sad.. but here in Switzerland, the awesome sequential tail lights of my 2011 5.0 are not allowed. The dealer simply disconnected the inner bulbs and did some wiring trick and I now only have the outer two bulbs indicating simulatenously. and I HATE THEM!

I was thinking that the best option would be to replace them with the 2010 non sequential tail lights so I'd at least have all 3 bulbs functioning. I tried but I can not tweak the sequential circuit on my 2011.

Do you guys have any idea how I can reverse it back to pre sequential model? should I search for complete 2010 tail lights? or just wiring? or what?

Thanks a lot!

i would think that it you connect them all in series with just one bulb they should all turn on at the same time. i thought that the 2010 had sequential lights too.

If you connect three 12V LEDs in series, you will have 4V across each LED. That won't work. Unfortunately I don't have the fix, but wonder if Ford installs the same body control module (will controls the rear tail light sequencing) in their export vehicles.

Same here in the UK, sequentials are illegal.

I did investigate getting the sequential reinstalled as a switchable feature with a specialist, but it was prohibitively costly involving a new PCB to be designed and installed.

My SVA however does allow for all 3 tribar reds to be on as side lights, with amber bulbs in the clear reversing lenses as indicators. The red brakes are the outers and centre bar only.

Try looking on ebay or a ford parts site for an 05-09 stock wiring harness for the taillights. I believe they use the same exact connector as the 2011's do. That would be your best bet. I just changed my fathers 2007 shelby's lights with sequential ones, and his stock ones were removed in the process.
