Holy ziptie batman! What horrible placement for the input converter and amp... absolutely horrible!!!
I used 3M double sided tape and put the line converter in the metal carriage that he strapped the zip ties through, so that I could still adjust gains and have the wires/converter hidden and not prone to snagging of trunk objects.
Also, an amp held with ZIP TIES!? Come on. What are you thinking? Not only is that bad for the internal components of the amp, it could cause a random trunk item to snag a power wire and short, scratch the amp and worst of all possibly create noise when a person hits a big bump.
Here is where I placed my amp, and it worked EXTREMELY well:
But he does do one thing extremely well. Documenting the whole process and running his wires. Props for the great instructions of running wires, grommet placements and how to achieve a clean look (minus the zip-tie catastrophe).
