Hey guys, I'm new here (first post actually) but I have just recently purchased a 2006 gt mustang and I have a question concerning the subwoofer.

I don't see the 8 inch subwoofers on my car's doors as the shaker 500 is supposed to come with. can the car come without them? Or are they built in or something.
The sound is still very bassy in the car but I still can't tell.

if you have shaker 500 your door panel will look like this

Base cars come with a single CD player/Tuner and four speakers, 160 watt amp.


Shaker 500 has 6-disc CD player/Tuner, and 8 speakers, 500 watt total amp.

Upper door panel shown above has a midrange/tweeter (two speakers in one) in upper panel, subwoofer in lower panel, and a full range speaker in package shelf (rear)...that's a total of 4 speakers each side of car.

There are two subwoofer amps above driver's kick panel-one for each subwoofer in doors-left and right amps.
