Shaker Head Unit, Paint chipping off buttons

Would like to know if anyone else if having the same problem as myself. I would assume this would go for the Shaker500 or Shaker1000 head unit since the buttons are the same. The black paint is starting to chip off of the buttons. Anyone know of any remedies or fixes?

Yeah, that is happening to mine. My only thought so far was to buy a new knob from MGW(the same guys who do the shifter).

This is one manufactured by UPR. I bought mine from CJ Pony Parts - Ford Mustang Parts

My CD and AM/FM buttons are looking pretty sad. But I don't think those buttons can be replaced individually.
I wonder how much a junk yard would charge for one taken out of a salvage car?
Just the face plate or the entire unit?
