Should a MSD coil be mounted upright?

I thought I heard somewhere that an MSD coil should be mounted with the terminals facing up. Has anyone heard anything like this? I'm about to start rigging up some bracketry.

The MSD installation paperwork tells you that you must mount their coils (as well as the factory coils) upright. If you want to mount it horizontally they recommend their high vibration coils (PN 8222) since it is incased in epoxy.
This holds true for the older style (round) coils. Not sure about the newer TFS style.
Cool, I went ahead and used some L brackets, so it's facing upright. I didn't use the vibration isolators as one of them is missing the screw. Is it ok like that?
Nice Capri!!! I had an '84 RS 5.0 5 speed. Sold it to a neighbor, he turned around and moved to Tennessee - but now he's got his Dad to help him fix it up. Buyer is a 21 year old kid, but, he can weld - and most T-top cars could stand to be welded on around here... He also has a talon, so you could say I'm helping to cure a ricer!
Are you talking about the mounts for the MSD box? I would use the other three and write MSD to see if they can send you the fourth. I don't know how important this is, but considering it came with them and it is suggested to use them, I would. I am sure that MSD figured that these things would see some harsh use (off road, dirt track, etc.) But too much is always better than too little:). Thanks for the compliment on the Capri. The pic is actually my first one that got totalled :sosad: but I currently have a second one that is the exact same color on the outside as my first was.
Yeah, I guess I should install some dampening - I'm thinking longer screws and some slivers of vacuum hose as isolators. It is a universal Blaster SS. It mounts with three screws which thread into a rubber isolator which has a screw glued to it. It's on the car now, I can feel a little difference up around 5000 RPM.
On the subject of Capris, check this out: http://www.foureyedpride.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21491
Thanks for the link. I am already a member! If it is not too expensive I would still try and get the correct part from MSD. Their tech department from what I read is very helpful. I don't think vacuum hose will have the correct dampening properties. Ir sound like the mount is the same as the ones used on the MSD 6AL box that I have. I haven't gotten to drive the car since I installed the MSD ignition (cooling problems) but it seems to start easier and idle quicker from cold (no choke on my holley).
