I'm having my 5.0 engine rebuilt in my 91 LX. It'll probably be bored out .002 - .003 over. Otherwise, my intent was to keep it mostly in stock condition. Would there be an advantage to replacing the stock valve springs with heavier ones? If so, what would be a good replacement and how much should I expect to pay for them?

If you have a stock cam, you shouldnt need to get heavier springs. The heavier springs help prevent valve float from occuring.

Trickflow sells some good replacement sets.
