As the thread title states, show us some minor damage that either you have done or that was caused by others (ie. rock chips, somebody opening their door on your car, shopping carts etc...) Lets see what you've got so we can all feel better at the end of the day knowing we are not the only ones with a less than perfect condition stang.

I'll get the ball rolling with mine:

The culprit:

Dealing with him:

Don't be shy, lets see what you've got

that scare-crow hangs from the wall of the garage (dont ask :S ) and i always back in, and in order to open the doors safely of both vehicles i park very close to the wall, and this wooden stick at the bottom of the scarecrow was sticking out more than usual... and it dinged my rear quarter panel. It is in a spot where you cannot do PDR, the only way is to replace the whole body piece at the side of the car.... which involves cutting welds... replacing the piece with a new painted one, re welding the seems etc... it would never be the same as from the factory... aka its there for life :( The guy at the body shop quoted me 1,200 $ Canadian, and basically told me not to bother, and that it would have to show up on the cars history as being replaced, and that anybody with a good eye would be able to tell it was replaced

you can probably take out the inner fender and bang it out

Why all the cutting and welding, why not just fix the dent? What would prevent that?
im not sure you understand the situation... here is a diagram for you

Notice how that is all one piece? It needs to be removed if you want to attempt to bang it out, which wont work seeings as it is right on the corner where the fender is rolled.

If anybody knows a BETTER way to SOMEHOW fix this, please let me know, because i have no idea how it could be done without removing the entire peice...

The damage. This is the front tip of the bumper. Bottom of the photo you can see the license plate. The tip has the paint rubbed off (See black)

The victim. I forgot to put my parking brake on in my sisters driveway. I started walking in the house and my niece says: "Uncle Gregg, your car is rolling". I got back to the car too late. Luckily that was the only damage I had.

The strange thing about all of this is it happened on the morning of my good friend's funeral. He died in a car accident......in a Mustang. Not only that, but when we were 19 I was showing off in my new Grand Cherokee and pulled in to his driveway too fast. ABS kicked on and I ended up plowing in to his garage almost knocking it down. So there he was....paying me back.

They make a special tool that will weld a stud to the fender, you then take a slide hammer and pull out the dent. little skim coat of filler, sand and paint, good as new

First off you need to show it to a good PDR guy and see if they think they could massage the dent out if they could get access to the back side of the dent. If they think they could easily do it, then you will need to find a competent body person/sheet metal person to cut an access panel into the exterior or interior wheel well. Once access is available call the PDR guy to do his magic. Once the dent is repaired the sheet metal guy can then weld up the access hole using the piece of sheet metal that was removed, grind down the welds and prime the panels to match the factory job. Depending on the skill level of both of these guys, the job should be invisable except to others of the same skill level.

And of course the typical body filler job and repaint is always an option although less desireable IMO. Hope this helps.

my car got hit real bad in that same spot while i was parked at a star bucks (a pick up didn't turn enough pulling in next to me, then proceeded to take off), whole back half of the wheel well was dented/crushed... local body shop got it out and matched the body line almost perfectly, you cant notice on mine unless you run your finger over the line. its just a little less sharp where it was hit.

Holy crap guys! I was going to post a pic of my little rock chip, but decided that's not even worthy of mention. Good luck to all of you who have major dentage...

My Thoughts exactly, my rock chips are really minor compared to the rest.

I have no pics but I clawed up the bottom side of my Roush fascia yesterday, pulling into a friend's driveway. My car's ride height is stock, but his driveway is on a hill and there's a slight dip of a rain gutter separating it from the road. Just enough to scrape although I was trying to creep in slowly. The life of a daily driver. I can't see that I'd ever intentionally lower the car, no matter how "sick" it could look. The truly sick part would be the repair costs associated with driving in the urban areas. Things are just too torn up around here. Wish I could lower it, though. It's just not such a great idea with the places I have to get to.

Absolutely no reason to replace the entire quarter panel for a dent. Few people had great ideas. Grind center of dent, weld pin, slide hammer out. filler, sanding, primer and paint. Alls good. That spot seems tough to get at but believe me, a good PDR guy could get to it and at least make it less noticeable. Was it creased in the area or just slightly pushed in? If it is creased painting it would be for certain.

That is some soft sheet metal for a stick to put a dent in the 1/4 panel like that.
