Hello,

I'm ordering a 2014 V6 Premium Coupe with the 202A Pony Package. I'd like to order the side scoops only without the window louvers. It looks like this cannot be done from the factory unless your're ordering a convertible. The order guide shows the V6 convertible accessory package 2 as side scoops only#942. I've had conflicting information from the dealer so I'd appreciate it if anyone can confirm this.

This car is a surprise for my daughter when she comes home from college this summer. This will be her first car and I think she'll need the extra vision the side windows will give her when changing lanes, etc.

Thank you for any information.

I don't think you give up much vision with the stock louvers, but if they do indeed come with the louvers (can't confirm that) then why don't you just get it, remove the louvers, and sell them?

Bill,

Personally I would just go ahead and order them because the price is fair. If you were to buy just scoops it'd cost the same after paint. You can take the louvers off and resell them to recoup some cash.

The louvers definitely do take away some vision when backing out of a parking space, but if you look hard enough you can see through the cracks.

Regardless of first car, you are correct sir, the tiny glimpse I've caught through that little triangle has saved my bacon a few times, in both my '09 and the '12.

I agree with the others. Just order it with the louvers and scoops if that's what you want. It takes about 2 seconds to remove them. Just give a tug on the center of the louver and you'll hear the velcro start to break free. Then it's just a little more of a tug and they pop right off. The hardest part is cleaning the velcro backing and residue off the 1/4 window. Still, about a 5 minute job for both sides...if that.
