I never really see much talk about Sirius on here, even though all our S197s came with the free subscription.

I have to decide whether I am going to start my susbscription again when I get my Mustang out of storage.

I like that they are buying XM (which I used to have in my Acura TL), I hope to see a product that has the best of both when it comes to selection and sound quality.

Have any of you extended your subscription and if so, what sations do you listen to mostly ?

I find that I listen to the 60s station a lot when cruising around in my GT vert.....just seems to fit....:to_cool:

Wish the O5s would have come with it.
Ohhhhh so the 2005's did not come with Sirius ? You mean I actually have something in my car (other than fuzzy dice) that you don't have ????? lol

I've had Sirius longer than I had my Stang. It's one of the reasons I replaced the Mach 1000 within a week, I liked my head unit with the controls and LCD display for Sirius.

I listen to alot of channels, from Octane to Classic Vinyl, to Hair Nation. During football season I listen to alot of NFL Network. And on the weekend I sometimes like to catch Martha Quinn on the Big 80's doing a countdown, where she does a countdown from that week back in whatever year. Some are good, some suck, depends on the year.

I sometimes Listen to the 60's and 70's stations as well. It just depends on my mood at the time.

Now you are dating yourself. I remember her as well. I wonder now that the two companies have merged wonder how that will change the format on the radio. I run a sirius in my work truck and love it.:bigthumbsup

I have Sirus or XM (not sure which) in one of my other cars and rarely if ever used it. So ther was no need to renew the subscription.

I have Sirius in my 06! It's easy to add using a Sirius box from an F150. I got mine on eBay for under $200. It uses the controls on the Shaker 500 just like the 07+ Mustangs.

I never listen to FM or CD's anymore, and unlike an iPod, I don't have to download or choose songs.

I mostly listen to:

  • Classic Rewind
  • Classic Vinyl
  • The Spectrum
  • Deep Tracks
  • Coffee House
  • The Bridge
  • Jazz Cafe

My '06 didn't come with sirius.
But I did add a Sportster and couldn't be happier.
I have a lifetime subscription, so I'm curious to see what this merger will do for me.

Deep Tracks, which is my favorite, is on XM, not Sirius. The Sirius counterpart is called "The Vault" and it is not nearly as good, I don't think. I like Blues, and BUZZSAW.

I read that they're also trying to dream up a name for the soon to be newly merged company, but nothing has been released yet.

I thought about Serum.

It will be interesting to see what happens after the merge.

I've got XM in my car and listen to it every day. I used to say I'd never pay to listen to the radio but I enjoy the commercial free music and not having to listen to all the crap on the local stations. Besides not having to search for stations while on the road. Since I have a PIE adapter I don't occupy the 12 volt power socket to power my SkyFi2 so I can keep my Escort plugged in and powered up.

I do like the Sirius setup in my wifes 08 Mustang.

I listen to Sirius all the time, It came in my 08. I really didn't want it, I didn't like the funky looking antenna on the trunk lid. But to tell the truth I wouldn't be without it now, I love it. I listen to oldies mostly.

Don't forget, the FCC still has yet to approve the merger.

Sirius is pretty cool, my dad has it in his G35... I think I listen to channel 15 mostly when I drive his car, and then 21 or 22 (can't remember exactly) whichever is the current rock station. otherwise I just listen to my ipod in my car or KROQ
