Do you have any trouble with the signal on the trunk? Did you try putting it inside the trunk?kscoyote said:Get the lower profile and place it slightly forward of rear spoiler w/ wiring through brake light . .

No, no problems.tw0scoops123 said:Do you have any trouble with the signal on the trunk? Did you try putting it inside the trunk?
For 2 different cars, I put the antenna on top of the dashboard using velcro and ran the wires underneath. This worked great for me. The key for Sirius is how close you live from Minnesota. Their satellite is up above there, so if you live down south, the dash mount may not work as well. Also, for the antenna, you need a direct line of sight, so inside the trunk will not work, unless you keep the trunk open.:nogrinnertw0scoops123 said:I want to get Sirius, but I really don't like the idea of putting the antenna on the roof. On 99+, unhook the brake light, and run the wires using the same routetw0scoops123 said:To those who have it on the end of the trunk: How do you get the wire to run inside the trunk? When I open the trunk it has a rubber seal all around the edges. Do you just slip it in between the rubber and the deck lid?
Also, if any1 has any links on how to run a seemless setup with the wires(ie how to run the wires under and in the car so no wires are sticking out, without having to take apart half the interior), please let me know. Thanks a bunch!
Actually, the Sirius satellites are in highly ellipitical orbits that appear to follow a sort-of figure-eight shape. See:Pawned said:The key for Sirius is how close you live from Minnesota. Their satellite is up above there, so if you live down south, the dash mount may not work as well.
