My rearview mirror makes the cars behind me look skinnier than they are. Its like a fun house mirror, sort of. I can tell because my sideviews show them normal width. Is this a feature or is mine bad?

Don't worry it's normal! I noticed it too the first few months of driving, but honestly anymore I don't. I imagine it's because the mirror is a little bit concave (convex?) to allow for a smaller mirror. There should be a warning on it that says, "Caution, cars appear skinnier than they really are." I know a few girls that should have that same warning. :smilie

When I first got my car, I noticed it too, but your eyes will get used to it an you will think nothing of it and everything will look normal.
