Slave cylinder leaking

So i found out yesterday that my slave cylinder is leaking... And not covered under my factory warranty. Since i will be right there anyway i guess it would be a good time to do a stage 1 or 2 clutch and flywheel. I was wondering if a slave cylinder from a gt500 would fit. Figure i should upgrade that if i can and i assume the 500 (if it will fit) would be a upgrade. I won't be doing this until next month so i have some time to look at all my options. Any words of wisdom?

I think the GT500 slave is shorter than the GT...Just replace it with a stock one. They really arent the problem. Make sure you bleed it and youll be fine.

I did some reading and found out the gt and gt500 are the exact same. So wouldn't be a upgrade.
