Slightly Disappointing....

So I’ve had my 2014 for near 18 months now, I got it new and have put 15,000 on the odo, serviced with 4 oil changes and the 5th one due any time now. But I’ve got to say I’m very disappointed in the car, I’m hoping this post doesn’t sound like a whine but this is my 5th mustang and I know that they all come with issues and the like.
But I think I have all the issues that these new ones come with, I got the Ignitor tick, and at any rpm over 2200 I can hear in the cockpit what I can only describe as nuts and bolts in a blender.

Sounds like a timing chain issue or something like that. As it’s a loud chattering noise. Also driver’s side lower control arm clunks, I’m in New Orleans and the roads aren’t the best but still clunks and the most annoying issue is that I have contacted the ford dealer I brought the car from and they are totally uninterested in fixing any of it.

I get the old “yeah, chief those coyotes are noisy” Not that noisy, and “Yeah none of our other mustangs make that noise so you must of broke it so it’s not covered” etc blah blah blah, the dealer I got it from hasn’t got the best customer service and the Service manager is a complete @$$hole. I had a telephone argument with him as the locking Nuts for the wheels I brought with the car wasn’t in the trunk, fair enough I could of stole ‘em and called in and asked for replacement but I had only brought the car 2 hours before.

Recently after being fed up with the crappy noise, I call ed the service manager and explained about the A/C, Timing chain TSR’s but he said that was bull$hit and hung up.

SO tbh I really don’t want to take my car there to get any warranty work done, plus its 67 miles away. That will teach me, I should have ordered the car from a dealer in the city and waited instead of driving all that way and getting what I wanted. SO….. my big question is can I take my car to the local ford dealer here to have this warranty work done or analyzed or whatever?

I’ve been a lurker on here for years and you guys and girls on here have been great and awesome help in the past. So thank you.

I was going to do a video as the noise from under the hood as it is bad, sounds like nuts and bolts in a blender at anything over 1200 rpm from outside and at 2200 rpm I can hear it in the car. But I can hear it tick at idle, that’s all the time not just when warmed up.

Have you tried contacting Deysha, the Ford rep, here on this forum?
You can absolutely go to any dealer man, no need to go to that one at all...any dealer should be more than happy to fix your car, under warranty they get full reimbursement from corporate for repairs under warranty so it's money for their service department. The fact that they aren't interested in fixing your car means they are terrible business folks, probably wouldn't do a good job and will be jerks in the process. Go to another dealer.

Hello Mustang Mattlov,

I will PM you Deysha, Thanks for your help.

@Strange Mud Im always polite, something my momma taught me growing up  but tbh, I was very nice and polite, just wasn't after he was rude. I always go with the to catch fly's use honey instead of vinegar.

I know how you feel. I had short block replaced for bbq tick at 3500 miles and now tick is back again at 7600 miles all while never racing car or beating on it at all. It is at dealer again. I am fed up to say the least.
