I am interested in the chances of getting caught without mufflers. I am sure no one could guess for me...
BUT what I am interested in is having someone use a digital SPL meter and get a level at idle and reving it. We have sound ordinances in a few of the towns I run in and I would not want to take them off if I put them on.
Thanks, Russ
Russ: I just installed a slightly used SLP that I got from another Mach owner here in KC. I had a chance to mirror finish all the tubing and mufflers for car shows.
As far as sound goes in ordnance areas, if you shift it easy and keep the tach at 2/k or less, it sounds "near" stock. After 3/k it's pretty loud. After 4/k, NASCAR!
Overall, the quality of SLP is astounding. The tubing took about 10 hours to mirror finish with buffing wheels and polish.
