As i was getting my Mustang dynotuned, smoke kept coming out from the sides of the engine at around 4000rpm and up. At first, it smelled like oil but after 3 or 4 pulls, it smelled like plastic or something like that.

There are so signs of oil leaks... What can it be?

Plastic smell is usually coolant in the oil. That coolant leak is usually around the intake to head gasket. I didnt torque my bolts down enough one time and it was doing that plastic smell. I thought it was my new combo. I pulled it apart again and I could see where it leaked and I drained the oil and coolant was in there.

Might want to twist off the oil fill cap and see if you spot any white sludge in there. If it's there your oil is contaminated big time.

Just changed oil. No coolant. I hit the pedal and no smoke out of the vents. The pastic smell is faint, now. I'll have it checked when i get my new 42lb injectors installed.

Thanks

Where you running lean? Are you s/c, or turbocharged?

WHat is all done to your car to warrant 42 lb injectors?
