Started up my stang after it sat for a couple of weeks and on first try it wouldn't fire. Turned key back to off position and tried again and it fired right up. While backing out of my garage I noticed alot of smoke which I assumed was gas. Car runs fine now but curious if anyone else has had that problem before and knows what the cause may be. Thanks

I never had this problem with my Stang, but a lot of my former/other cars had that.
If that cloud would have been white, blueish - grey, it is a sign of oil burning.
(Valve stem seals, rings, etc.)
If that cloud of smoke was black or dark grey it was just excess gas that the motor had to burn; thats what I assume, since you explained that it did not fire right up the first time.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it does not become a usual thing every morning.
