SN95 4.6 tuning question...

1410 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  phatkat
Hi all,

I'm getting a 98 GT soon. On the test drive, all seemed well, except 1st and second gear took too long to shift, unless I backed off the throttle. They held out past the power peak.

Question is: I know tuners do lots on 1999 and newer cars, but what about my 1998? Can I still adjust shift points/firmness??

Should I just have someone like Bama write me a tune????

Any info would be appreciated! :)

I have a 1996 Mustang GT and I have an SCT tuner. I am running the 91 octane tune on mine and My Mustang is an automatic and the tune switched my shift points. Now my Mustang shifts way better and runs stronger. It runs great and I got the Tune from American Muscle.
