So one beautiful day I talked my girlfriend into driving my car and taking it for a road trip to see how the rebuild would do on a long distance. So I made a play-list on my ipod, got everything ready and headed down stairs.
I turn the key and the battery is dead. Easy fix, I didn't have a jump box but I did have an electric bike I was building. I got 'Series' and 'parallel' wiring backwards in my head...hooked it up the horn honked and huge sparks came right when I touched the battery terminal. I disconnected a few of the 12 volt 5 amp batteries and tried again. Nothing substantcial happened but the cooling fan kicked on with the key not even in the ignition. I freaked out a little, saying 'WHAT HAVE I DONE!'
Open the door put the key in the ignition turn it on and over. Nothing happened, there wasn't enough juice. I added another battery in the same series...yeah I was really thinking.
To conclude, The cabin smells of electrical fire, fan relay switches on (I can hear the switch click) when I connect the battery, what I assume is a safety measure for when the computer is fried, and my gauge cluster is 100% unresponsive.
Am I right or am I totally screwed haha I know I fried the computer and none of the wiring is melted and no fuses are blown surprisingly. Should I check anything else out too? Are there multiple computers? Any info is awesome.

Si si, I feel like your being a little condescending on the port match but yes fried the ECU. Frying the ECU is great news to me though. It only costs $100.00 and a hour of work. Almost scrapped my car because I thought I torched the wiring harness.

I feel like you really messed up the matching, or your failing to properly explain.

I am also glad its just your ECU. would have sucked to ruin harness/etc.

This is a Split Port Fuel Injected V6.

MAIN intake port diameter is 3.5 cm.

Exhaust port diameter being 3 cm, the exhaust manifold gaskets opening is 3.5 cm

I pressed the gasket against the head, etched a circle, and started grinding away until the desired size was acquired.

Once completed, A final polish was preformed followed by reassembly.

So all in all the term you use is up for personal determination.
Gasket Match or Port Match.

They're almost as big as my exhaust ports hahaha but I got a cam to back it up (even though it's a somewhat small cam) should've threw one in when you did all that bud

Oh trust me I wanted to, I wanted to get roller rockers as well, but I live in Downtown Belltown, Seattle so my work space is a underground parking garage haha so it didnt give me too much time from start to finish to save and buy as I go. It started off, I was to clean it up and measure each combustion chamber to calculate power and true fuel/air ratio. Started as a science experiment ha. I did get a lot of fun looks, standing on top of my engine with my hood off ha.
