recently now that its been colder in the morning wheni go to start my car i have a high pitched static sound coming from my speakers. even if i turn the radio completely down the static is still there. i've also noticed that as i rev the car up the sound becomes more prominant.

One of the things that can cause the problem that you are experiencing is faulty ignition wires. It is possible that the resistance in the wires is greater than the allowed limit of 250 ohms, which incidentally is the maximum amount allowed, any higher will induce an EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference). Basically when current is passed through a wire it causes a magnetic field to occur. That magnetic field causes radio interference. If you happen to have a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) measure the the resistance. I hope this helps.
