Spring cleaning pics, from someone who said he would never do his own detailing...

Well now I think I am obsessed.....lol.

On Friday I spent about 2 hours doing the wheels, tires, glass and using the Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish. Then on Saturday I spent another 1½ hours finishing it off with Meguiar's NXT Tech wax.

Now if I drop a terrycloth towel or a cotton cloth on the hood it just slides right off....lol.

This is the first time I have used the Meguiar's NXT Tech wax and I am pretty impressed. Usually I use just the Turtle Wax Ice Liquid polish which has some carnuba in it but not a lot. So I thought I would try both and see how it came out. I think MakeMyStang gave me the idea.

Excellent job Fuzzy - she looks beautiful! 'Bout time you let her out of the stable...

Besides driving it, the best part is the total detail, before and after - what satisfaction!! :bigthumbsup

PS: Did I mention, once you wash her, you'll never - ever bring her to a car wash again... you'll notice the job you do for free compared to the job you pay $10-$20 for.... doesn't even compare...:hihi:

I discovered Meguiar's NXT Tech wax last year and it is worth the extra $$. It goes on easy and better yet comes off easy. Like all waxes though you don't want to put to much on at at a time. Two easy coats are better then one thick difficult one. NXT leaves a great shine and beads water like mad if you get caught in the rain.

I was going to do a full deatil like today but of course, the weather didn't cooperate. I am jealous of how shiny you got her. Great job

Looks good, man. I use Maguire's NXT exclusively, but I'm interested in trying Zaino.
I find detailing the car very therapeutic. Give me a bottle of spray detailer, a beer, a radio, and I'm a happy camper.

Very awesome!!
I detailed mine this weekend too. I also use Meguiar's car wash and NXT polish. As someone else said, it goes on and comes off very easy and definitely causes the rain to bead!
(Maybe I'll get my camera downloaded tonight and post a few pix too--'cause you know I took some!) :hihi:

What did you use on the dash? Those sunglasses have a twin in the reflection. Simply awesome.

Jebus man, you really DO have fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror... that's friggin awesome :bigthumbsup

I've read many things about the Meguriars different line of waxes. I used the GOLD class when I did my car and apparently the GOLD class is half polishing as well.

The NXT, if I remember correctly offers maximum protecting and you should apply a SECOND coat after a minimum cure time of 12 or 24 hours, something like that.

Anyway, I'm happy with ALL the products I've used so far and I gotta say, I haven't used another products that makes these S197's shine like this. I've had other black cars and nothing came close (or course I used the old school T-wax on my older vehicles, ICE didn't even exist).

Now it's time to black out those front side markers my man!!!!
