Cleaning up the wiring and had a couple wires on this which was on the right side of the solenoid. What is it and what’s its purpose, also do I need it?

Circuit breaker. The color of the wires that you pulled off might help narrow down what circuit it protects...

Left side, right side... Just make sure that it's on the always-hot battery side of the solenoid, as shown in wbrockstar's diagram.
