Hey everyone,

I am looking for some information on the CAI for the 05 v6. I'm looking for a little boost in performance and HP, and it seems I can get 15-20 off it. Wouldn't mind the price, so I would like to know if any of you guys either have them installed, or know if they are worth the money.

before you get excited about the numbers most of the CAI's need a tune to achieve the 10-18 hp advertised. with that said from what i've read and from my own experience the C and L performance CAI is the overall best. Do a search for CAI's threads.

Ya just can't go wrong with the C&L inake and an X-cal tune from Doug at Bamachips... turns your ride into a completely different beast.

I'll second the C&L CAI... it does require a tune (like the Steeda) so I would also recommend the C&L/SCT X-Cal2 packages... however I give the nod to Lidio at Alternative Auto (www.alternativeauto.com).

Like ham says it will be a night and day difference! My C&L install and dyno sheets are here: C&L

I have the Steeda and I think it's great. If I'd had waited I probably would have gotten the C&L. But I don't really regret it too much since the C&L hard pipe wouldn't work with the X-Charger I plan to get! :drool:

well yeah...... I have heard they were not as good as the C & L.
