I have had my Steeda Tri-Ax shifter in the '05 for several months...absolutely love it! BUT...I now have a problem with it rubbing the left side of the gearbox and it has damaged the leather boot. Anyone else have this happening? IS there something I can do? I did not install it and it was not doing this after the install...it is something that has creeped up on me. I can still get it into 2nd gear but it is becoming even a tighter fit. It seems like it is sinking or "shifting to the left"!

Mount shaft on other side

I followed the instructions and mounted the shaft to the base on the left side of the stock. It rubbed right away and was too tight.
I mover the shaft to the other side and bolted it on and it's perfect now.
There may be slight angle differences from car to car or the instructions were wrong from the get go.
If yours is mounted to the left side, try it on the right and it should solve the issue.

Also note that you use 1st and 2nd a lot more than 5th and reverse. So if it is rubbing, put it on right OR mod the center console...
