I am due to have my ball joints replaced. Awhile back I picked up a new bumpsteer kit and Steeda X2's for a good price. I used a press and removed stock bj. The new steeda X2 just slides in A Arm and wont hardly stay up. Will I have to find a over sized ball joint or is there something I can do to keep X2's and avoid from replacing a arm. I have a 87 lx with 5 lug conv. and spindles etc from 99 gt. Thanks!

I think you have pretty much answered your own question. I don't believe there is anything to be done to the X2's you have. The control arm hole has obviously widened. Either find oversized balljoints, or replace the control arm. I don't think there is any alternative.

I just did my ball joints, OE replacement, I did not have too much trouble.

I think you are right. Too bad. I guess I can sell the x2's though. Are there any reputable ball joints known for being slightly over sized?

I found a thread saying that MOOG makes an over sized ball joint. I will look into those. Thanks for the help. Guess I will have some X2's to sell.
