My friend who happens to be a second father to me is working on his Classic Chevelle...

He told me about upgrading his steering gear in the gear box. It made a lot of sense...

I too would like an upgrade so that way I can get a better response as I steer.

So is there such a thing?:headscratch:

yeah, but you should probably take care of steering geometry issues first.

You can either install a Cobra box. a manual conversion from Flaming River, or PS upgraded box from FR.

Camber and Caster - and then you should brace the towers - the car was designed mainly for light weight in the 70s.

The angle of the wheels to the ground in all sorts of situations changes more to deflection, caster and camber and body twist much more than anything that changing the steering ratio can provide for (The speed of the wheels turning).
