the bushing in the steering shaft broke and now it is partially fixed. i have been looking at steering shaft from a few manufacturers but i may have settled with with Flaming River. has anyone ever used one of these on there stang? i really want one since it has no bushing that can brake but i dont know if it will fit. my stang is a 89 2.3lx with power steering. do i need flaming rivers steering rack or will it fit my stock rack? thanks for the insight.

Sounds like your are saying that your "rag" bushing is "gone". Go to a junkyard and get a "steering shaft" from a 5.0 car. It is a direct replacement and the 5.0 shafts virtually never break or wearout. If you have any problems with the rack and pinion, you can do the same thing for the same reasons.
