Steering Wheel Doesnt Return To Straight Position When I Let Go

1517 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  1onebadfox
So I went out for a drive today and I noticed that when im going around a corner and let go of the wheel the car doesn't correct its self and go straight again.

Please tell me this isnt a big issue.........but im sure it is. I'm going to change the fluid because it looks a little brown.

I just don't want to loose the ability to steer or something. I don't think that's possible but im not sure how the whole steering rack works.

Just thought of something. Could it be the alignment causing the issue?

When I go straight the wheel is turned to the left a bit. Not sure if its just the crown of the road tho..... Ill take it into a parking lot or something tomorrow and see.
if you want your steering wheel to return straight after cornering you need to get on the alignment rack and raise your caster. if your steering wheel is cocked to one side when driving straight on the highway you need to set your toe. neither of which are bad, neither will wear tires or damage parts.
