Dumb question of the week, folks: Has anyone noticed some extra drag pulling out of their driveway on a cold morning? Feels almost like the parking brake is barely on for a few seconds. Before you ask - no. The parking brake isn't on. After the car gets going, the resistance is gone. Cold affecting bearing grease somewhere? Or just my imagination?

Maybe it's frozen to the ground...

My GT do kinda the same... it is prolly the cold oil... maybe in the tranny... gotta get moving again and center all up...

Alway before you get going with a manual tranny shift 1-2 and then to where you want it, ie. R or 1 I'd guess.... this will line your tranny up, make it easier to use and last longer!

There is still some brake fluid pressure left on the brakes, not to worry.

If the parking brake was initially engaged and then released immediately before driving away, then it may be sticking.
The same thing happens to my 05 Mustang GT in cold weather. So I just park it with the manual tranny either in 1st gear(level or uphill grade) or in reverse(downhill grade), and do not engage the PB.
